Can someone please point me as a newbie towards a resource for finding out differences by model year? I'm not (yet) and owner but will be in the next 60 days or sooner and I'm already settled on a 2005-2007 S ... so the obvious question is "what's the difference between these model years and where is the 'don't buy one before this year' threshhold?"

There weren't many differences between the 2005 and 2006 cars beyond differences in available colours and some trim packages. For 2007 the MCS coupe was completely redesigned with a new larger body and new turbocharged engine. The differences between those two years is so substantial it's too extensive to list in this post.

 

The link to the MotoringFile was extremely helpful. Now I just need to find out if I can afford a 2007 MCS!!

2005-06 are the R53's. 2007 and beyond are the R56's, and a whole different car.
