Man, I finally got one!!!!

Hey folks!

My name is Scott and I finally got my Mini!

I can see already why people love these cars . I haven't stopped grinning like a kid at Christmas since I took the keys from the salesman!

My baby is a 2006 dark silver MCS and she's loooaaadded!

Hopefully I'll get to attend some events and see some other mini maniacs soon.

Congrats! It takes awhile to stop grinning from ear to ear.

We need some pics!

Oh, welcome to NAM!

Going from memory, in the area that you update your signature, there is an area to upload pictures to your gallery. I would start there (It's been a while since I updated anything....) Welcome to the madness!

Welcome!

Wow...that is one very sharp looking MINI! I have an '02 Cooper with a checkerboard roof and love looking at it every day! I've recently been in the market looking for more of a family vehicle...everything I've test driven has bored me...I don't want to get rid of my MINI. If only I could afford the Clubman...hmmmm...

Anyway, welcome and enjoy...this is such a fun group to be a part of!

Thanks. I've only had the Mini for a couple of weeks so no mods yet. I was thinking of adding the Alta airbox kit for starters , but want to stay away from real heavy mods until I know more about them.

Also, I have a good friend who is currently awaiting delivery of his 08 MCS and am looking forward to attending some events in the Virginia/NC/MD area.

Welcome to MINI-Land! I've had my '03 MC for 2+ months, and absolutely love it. I would have let my wife have it, but she has graciously said it can be all mine - for which I am eternally grateful. I'm 61, and have never had more fun with a car in all my life.

I just got mine the other day. It's a riot!! I love driving it to the point that I'll just drive aimlessly. I let people drive it so that they envy me, haha. I have a buddy who's hooked, I think I'll be able to start a mini Mini club by the end of the month.

Hi Folks,

Just got my 2008, MCS...red with black top, chrome mirrors. Got the Sirius radio, factory NAV with the voice activate commands and blue-tooth option via the car speakers. Purchase experience from Westchester Mini in NY was great. Only got a chance to drive it home from the dealer, and then for a couple hours...weather is nasty today. Can't wait to let myself loose with it, as I don't how most of the bells and whistles work yet.

One caveat though...I was not impressed with the audio quality and separation. Perhaps I need to get in and tweak things...but is this a weak area or a point for after market upgrade? I'm not after a system that blows peole away, but I do like quality sound.

Thanks

Icono ... I know that our radios look completely different , but if yours is a Harmon/Kardon it should have a lot of "preset" eq settings (spatial,festival,H/K,etc.) on mine there is a button with a music note symbol that will switch between them... try that. On the bright side... global warming is coming BABY! .. get ready for extended driving seasons!

There is a big event down here at Virginia Beach in June or July where they are trying to break a world record for most Minis in a convoy... sounds like a riot! look up the info from sevencitiesminis (google it)
