Eh up. How you all doin ?? I'm new on here. My names Andy but friends and family call me Specky, Speckster, Specks..... anything goes on them lines!

I'm from Huddersfield in UK, I drive Sulley, a Laser blu JCW Cooper S R56. If you have a members car section that is better for fotos i'll post some in there. My wife is Mini.Boo and she drives BOO, an Electric blu MCS (2005), i'll put some of her mini on too if ya like. Off for a browse round now, but here is a link for our club in UK.

I went to University there until July 2007, after I graduated. I have pics with me and good old Patrick Stewart from the University!
! Now I have moved to the states - could never have afforded a MCS as a student in the UK, but used to drive a 87 Mini City!
I knew as soon as I saw the title "How Do..." it had to be someone from Yorkshire!

Pretty good! I don't miss the UK weather at all - even saw Huddersfield on the BBC website being close to being flooded.
I do prefer the price of motoring in the US. Could never have afforded a Mustang GT and a MCS in the UK

Thx for the group shots, Specky. Very nice indeed. Your old pure silver was sharp. Your current model is really well done, though.
What kind of wheels were those on the old PS? Size?
What kind of side markers are those on the PS? They look like a custom "vented" or "slotted design."
Curious, and perhaps a dumb question: is the "new MINI" more or less popular (as a generalization) than the old classic (pre-2001) Mini with the English population?

Wheels are BK299"s 18" and the venys are Shark Gill side vents, got vents from Mini sport. They not the bestest of suppliers but i'm sure there available else where.
The "CLASSIC" mini fans in UK do not like us at all. In fact i'm sick of gettin the FINGER when they pass and nasty comments on show events. CHILDISH, but thats up to them.
