Need Info About to Order

Hello to all nice to meet you!!!

I am about one day away from ordering my new MCS! My question is on lease rates, MF and Residuals. I have tried the search function but not found current info. My last car was a 06 BMW 330IS and I was able to find the rates posted on one of the BMW forums. Just a quick high five on what seems to be active and informative site. I am a member of a few other forums and this seems to be a fun crowd!! Also I am a little put off by the dealers in my area (CT) that no one negotiates price? Can't wait for my new MINI to arrive!!! Looking forward to mods already!

Thanks
Brent

Looking at leases myself. Residuals after 3 years in the 65 - 68% range with 10,000 miles per year. That's a great rate, but the lease factors are equivalent to an interest rate in the mid to high 7% range. The two items offset each other so monthly lease payments are not veery good.

I agree, leases on MINI's should be alot better since they hold thier value so well. I also have a BMW X3 for my wife, 46k sticker 439 per mo with taxes. That was with no money out of pocket, MINI wants 435 per mo with taxes 31.5k sticker with 3k down. I have worked in the automotive business for 20yrs and in dealerships for half and still find it hard to pay sticker. I did not even pay sticker for my BMW's or my Mustang Cobra.

The pricing on these MINIs are usually no haggles, they didnt haggle with me, however I paid well below cost due to being in the Military and stationed in Europe. My car booked out at 29,000 I paid 25,000, Military direct delivery, but to get this car in the states; a dealer in Oregon told me 33,000. BIG difference, supply and demand jugdes how much youll end up paying. COngrats on your MINI, they are real fun cars, Automobiles!!! HAPPY MOTORING

I am looking forward to alot of happy motoring!! Still strikes me funny about price. I bought my Cobra when every dealer was at least 5k over sticker if not more, and through carefull shopping found someone who sold to me at invoice.

tell me about it... our MINI also replaced a 2004 X3 that was about $44k, and it costs as much per month as the X3 did on a similar lease term. It's the price you have to pay to drive the MINI! Really, it's all supply and demand... our $44k X3 cost as much to lease as the $30k MCS, but at least the MCS is less than our $40k 325xi per month, but we also got one of the first E90 AWD's... if we had gotten that car a year later, it would have been less money.

I am replacing my E90 with the MINI and yes the payments are less but not much.
So I pulled the trigger last night and ordered had to play dealer against dealer a little but the price came down.

So here goes: On order 2008 MCS Lightning Blue Black top, chrome line exterior and interior, premium, convenience, sport, cold weather, Xenons, LSD, Lounge leather (black), HD radio, white signals, rear foglight Web spoke 17" all for $418 per mo.

not bad, you did price out a pretty nice (but expensive) MINI!

I see you are in CT... who did you order from?

The same thing with me. I ordered the car in Wiesbaden, Germany and took delivery there. When I went to finance I needed 22,000 after I paid some money down.. the bank here in the usa, offered to give me 32000.. the car in total was only 26000 but she said if i was buying it in the united states thats what it would cost me. So I am up about 6 g's. When we moved here a year ago, to SC, we then filled out an exemption and didnt pay taxes on the car.

Ordered from Joe S. at New Country in Hartford. He has been great and is a fellow MINI enthusiast (read: owns a highly moded R53)
