I would like to use the rain sensing wipers but it seems to sensitive. even when it rains little the wipers go crazy.

It's adjusted through the on-board computer in my car, when going through the different options by pressing in the OBC button, hold it down on the settings menu to select it, and the sensitivity should be listed there.

 

Yep! Mine arrived with the sensitivity adjusted 3 (out of 4) bars to the right; all the way to the right being max sensitivity and left being min. I find the best compromise is to have it set right in the middle

 

Is that only on the '07's? I don't recall any setting in my OBC on my '03. I would love to be able to turn them down just one notch......How do you do this again?

 

I believe so. And not only that, it's only available on late model year '07's. MINI introduced the feature sometime around build week 32.

On my '07 you do it by accessing the OBC, going to settings, and once there the wiper sensitivity is your very first option. It shows a picture of a windshield with a wiper in the tach so you know which option it is. Kinda hard to explain as I'm not by my MINI and haven't accessed the feature in a while, but it's something like that.
