Hummmm.... this was at about 10am PCT and it was already 6pm in the UK...

Guess I'll get an update tomorrow - maybe talk to CS if the computer says the same thing.
well, I called them at 3pm PST and the system told me the same it told you but, then I spoke with Didi and she told me that they actually finished my MINI yesterday! and it should me on route to the docks soon!

"Scheduled to be completed on the 18th" woo hoo

I guess I was in denial that the automated system would have such a lag, so I finally talked to a person today...

Our cars may be completed this week as well. We've gotten some conflicting info on the production status, but today the automated ASKMINI and the customer service reps both stated that our MCSs where in the paint shop and scheduled for completion tomorrow. We were told we'd be week 4 production, so to be earlier than that would be awesome.

Did you call 1-866 ASK-MINI?

Mine was ordered on 12/20/07 and it is already built and waiting on the port for transportation.

Maybe I'm really impatient but my Mini has been at the port for 3 days now and ASK-MINI still says waiting for shipment. Talked to a CS rep today and they said they don't have access to bookings - to call the dealer. Did that and so far they don't have the info.

I so want it to make the ISOLDE because that one has a straight shot (via the Canal I assume) to Port Huenume arriving on Feb 10th.

I need to get back to work and just forget about it but this forum makes it hard!

well i've been trying to check if my mini will be shipped in the ISOLD, have you tried?

go to http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/cargoTrack.do press Auto Cargo on the left and then put your VIN on the Cargo ID field. I haven-t had any lucky yet. If the car is gonna be moved by that line it should appear there.

No tracking for me yet either.

Count me in the mutual miserable (sort of) society.

Hey Guys, I just found out my Clubman was completed on the 15th, although I was told it would start production on the 16th. ASK MINI told me it has arrived at the port of exit.
I'm hoping it will make the Isolde at least as I have waited 2 years, 13 days for this car. I was no. 1 on the list from Jan. 4, 2006.
My dealership said it probably wouldn't make it in time for the launch date, but there is always hope, especially since OTTO is somewhere near the boat.
I have an article on it for Roundel and I really really would like to get those photos for it.
I am trying to figure out how you track the ship and how to find out if your MINI is on it. All the info here has helped a lot.

Cloud10 - can't say much about your Mini but I love your quote on Greyhounds.

My wife is a petsitter and Vet Tech and she has a client with two rescued Greyhounds - very, very sweet dogs!

We have 6 rescued dogs at the moment - no greyhounds but I'm sure there are some it our future! Woof!

Greyhounds are fantastic dogs. I have two, one (Capt. Morgan) was a puppy from the Phoenix track and the second (Mai Tai) was 1-1/2 from the track.
The Doberman (King Henry VIII in the photo) is my 8th and last Dobie. I've lost them too young from 1-1/2-8 years old, so I switched to Grays. And a feisty Min Pin, too.
The Clubman was bought for the dogs. They wouldn't fit in a Cabrio or MCS.

Rescue dogs are the best! We have a little pitbull named "Muscle Butt (I'm not kidding) that was abused horrifically by the lowest life forms in LA (I could phrase that worse but I'm being polite) yet she is the sweetest most loving dog now.

How could you not love a face like this:

Greetings! I'm in Production week 2 and thought it might be appropriate to let you folks know that the wait continues to be excruciating.

Hello. I think I'm week 3 also. I've not called ASK-MINI but have been checking the OL website and emailing with my MA. According to both sources my MCS finished production on the 14th and the OL says "awaiting transport." I've been driving everyone at work nuts with my daily updates (I have a MINI model on my desk with a calendar attached where I cross of every day). I'm just trying to figure out what ship it will be on. I've checked the WW website and it keeps saying no info available so I picture it sitting on the dock waiving at all the other lucky MINIs heading off on their holiday while patiently waiting it's turn.

With the recent posts here I'm thinking that week 3 is a great week to be involved in. I, too, am the proud companion to a rescue. Rhodesian Ridgebacks, in my case. She's our second rescue RR, and our 4th RR. They'll look great in my MCS!!!

MINI owners with rescue dogs unite!

Let's see if I can get this right: My (unnamed) MCS is Mellow Yellow w/black bonnet stripes & roof w/sunroof/carbon black checkered cloth/mellow yellow colorline/piano black surface/cold weather/convenience/premium/sport/satellite/auto(yes a sin to some but darn it drives great)/17"web spoke

Rescue dogs really seem to understand what has happened and love their owners even more. My Morgan was lucky he never had to endure the treatment at the track. He is so much more animated than the track dogs are. It takes them time to learn to play and let go.
Love the early MINI ads with the bulldog.
Did you name your MINI yet. Mine is OTTO--not sure why.

My MA told me to click on the following site. Sounds like the one you are using, but it has a lot of other links too.

http://www.jwardell.com/mini/2006/10..._ordered_mini/

One more thing to distract me from my work. Mine was completed the 15th and finally shows up as waiting for transport.

I wanted a yellow Clubman S, but since it is only offered in the regular Clubmans, I went for the S in Chili Red/black roof/mirrors/Sport and Cold Weather/MFSW/black punch leather/10-speaker hi fi sound/rooster red color line/auto/white turn signals. I wanted crown spokes, but they only offered to add them for another $350 and as they shouldn't cost more than the standard ones, I decided to go aftermarket and choose my own later. I had hoped that after having a 2-year deposit they might trade, but they aren't offering any extras, even though this is my 4th car from that dealership (BMW 330Ci, 2 BMW M3s and the Clubman). Oh well, at least I was no. 1 to order.
BTW, Rhodesian Ridgebacks are fantastic dogs. I love all dogs, but the Rhodesians I've met have been great!

I have to chime in, I love these posts! I too have a wonderful adopted rescue dog, Pretzels. When I first met her she was really sick with heartworms, but fully recovered and is an amazing dog. A big clown. I even ordered my mini to match her. (Astro black, white mirrors, checkered roof)

Me three - we're all traveling together.

I can't believe how excited I am about this - my wife is kidding me to no end because I've owned (and still own) plenty of high performance cars before but for some reason I cannot stop talking about this one. Maybe it's because when ordering other cars I could never track them like this or maybe its this board.... or maybe its the fun factor. Or all three reasons.

Pretzels - I love the name! And I love the fact you ordered your Mini to match.

We have some unusal names in our family as well. Besides Muscle Butt (pitbull) we have Spam (pitbull) and Thud (very clumsy pit/great Dane mix we think).

And then there is our 3-legged, ex-street dog Brillo. I think the hair explains the name....

Our minis were completed and 866ASKMINI is stating that they are in transport to the port! Kinda cool my car has my birthday (today) as well! Hopefully they won't wait around at the Port too long....
