A Big Thank You....

Well, I started thinking about trading in my 98 VW bug for a mini about 2 weeks ago when I first rode in one belonging to a friend. Went for a test drive last Tuesday, and drove home my new obsession on Friday.

(My parents came into town the following day, so I had to borrow a hideously big Jeep Grand Cherokee to chauffeur them around - that was a tough sacrifice!)

Anyway, I'm now the proud and delighted owner of an '07 MCS SS/B with Prem and Cold Wx packages. This board has been a great resource in making my decisions and fuelling my enthusiasm.

Thank you and very happy motoring one and all....

Thats great! Welcome to the club. I am sure for those times that you have to borrow or rent something to haul family around it will be tough but well worth it! Happy Motoring!

I did trade in the Bug. It had some body issues - 2 broken mirrors (one was duct taped on) - key mark on three panels, the front grill was hanging on one side and a cracked front bumper. No antenna, the beige seats were a filthy mess. Check engine light has been on for a few years... (and began flashing at me on the way to trade it in)
So anyway, it had obviously seen much better days - I was happy with the $2000 that MINI offered as a trade in. They called the day I was picking up the MINI to try to drop thier offer on the Bug to $1000 because of an accident they had "just found" on Carfax, but I held firm and got $2000.
KBB suggested $3175 as a trade in so I think I did pretty well.

Hope this helps....

Congratulations. It took me 5 years to get my wife behind the wheel of a MINI and 5 minutes for her to get that big grin on her face. Yes .... MINI love happens fast. Welcome to NAM.
