Hello all ...

Well, after wanting one, then waffling a few years, then wanting one again, I finally put a deposit down on a '07 Cooper S this afternoon. I've got an '03 PT Cruiser that's been a great car and I have no real good reason to get rid of it other than the itch for something a little more fun that squeezes a little more out of a gallon of gas than a small dump truck. A nice long test drive today quickly assured me that the S is all that x 10. This is one fun little car. The new critter is chili red with a white roof, and at this moment it's still somewhere in England waiting to be loaded onto the boat.

This will be my second mid-life crisis (I married my first one), and I'm gettin' giddy already. I gave the sales girl a thrill when I switched off the TC and smoked the tires at a stop light; that right there pretty much sealed the deal. Some serious sweet-talking to get the wife to approve, and I'm now about 2-3 weeks away from wearing that perpetual stupid grin. Man, I can't wait to start bending some laws of physics on the twisties!
