Just took delivery of my 08 S convertible. Its a sweet car but could be improved. Alone those lines, does anyone know how to add some freeplay to the clutch pedal. I've talked with the local dealer and its mechanics and everyone seems to think it cannot be done. On most cars, there is usually an adjustment that can be made to shorten the rod length in the masted cylinder, but the mini has a fixed length with no adjusting screw. I've thought of buying a second rod and shaving a few mm off its length. I'm open to any other suggestions.

I'm a MINI NOOB with just 3 posts. But, AFAIK, the factory hasn't started making the 08's yet. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

 

The 08 hardtops aren't being made yet, but the convertibles could be

 

Convertibles came out before the hardtops. They had '08 convertibles at the dealership when I ordered my MCS.
