Hi guys, I'm new here. Not to brag, but I'm a Superformance dealer, and own a few healthy cars...Cobras, GT40s.

Took delivery of my 07 Cooper S in March with all race goodies avail at the time. Did two open track sessions and ended up with a trans shifting problem after the last day. No grinding, just not going into 3rd and 6th gear. Thought it was linkage, but dealer says needs a new tranny, and they are installing a new one for me.

My question is: Why did it break? Sure, I drove it agressively. Why offer a S model with sport suspension and limited slip, if it can't take some hard driving. I did notice towards the end of the day that the inside wheel would sometimes spin, or something slipping when in a hard turn?? I thought limited slip, but it still burns a dual patch when launched.??

Any thoughts here guys?
