Hey, Ive been lurking around here for a few months since I bought my Mini, but this is a first time post. Learned how to drive on one a few years ago, and everything Ive driven since just didn't satisfy, so...I got one! anyways, im a mod nut, right now just exterior and tons of gismos and gadgets on inside. Hopefully the money will roll in so I can go under the hood!

Does anyone know the tread specs for the shifter? I have an 03 MCS and am looking to do something tricky with my shifter. Havent been able to find one, so Im looking to make a stressball shifter! Any thoughts, ideas? Also, havent tried, but whats the best way to unscrew my stock shifter?

Ill get some pics up, and list out everything soon enough, for now COPA is an 03MCS silver/black 17" ICW racing 17/215/45 Kenwood DVD w/ Ipod and PS3 . 10" Rockford P3 and 400WAlpine. Bunch of others, poeple always wonder how I fit everything into a MINI!

Still playing around with the Shifter idea, thinking of different ways to fix a nut of the necessary threading to either a market stress ball or homemade...any ideas?

 

The shift **** isn't threaded, it's some sort of snap fit (I haven't removed mine.) See this thread for info on removing it.
