Introducing... Molly!

I picked Molly up from Ralph Schomp on Saturday, but she's a conservative little car, and didn't want pictures taken without her pinstripes -- here she is! Thanks to Aesthetic Creations for the great pinstripe design.

Congratulations!!! She looks great! Mellow Yellow was my other choice and I really had a tought time deciding. The pinstriping looks great too...definitely different and makes Molly stand out!

Molly looks great, jmdor! I didn't realize that you could get a wood steering wheel. It's a little hard to see in the picture, but I bet it looks good with your interior.

Hi jmdor, Congrats on your delivery! Your colors look really well thought out, that pinstripe is perfect!

Your 'S' logo in the first shot is reflecting back yellow too, did you cover it too, or did the flash just work out that way?

Molly is definitely a HOTTIE !!! Does she have any sisters ?

Love your choices... MY/W, side pins, etc, etc. Just can't get used to wood being on the interior of a MINI.

When you order the english oak, you can get a wood steering wheel and shifter, which I thought was cool. No sisters; big brother is a BMW 545i.... The S just looks yellow from the reflection, although I might get a cover from aestheticreations to change it!

My wife and I drooled all over your Molly before we pulled the trigger on our MCS (Mellow Yellow with black bonnet stripes). Congrats! (And know that another NAMmer saw her first!) Molly made my wife fall in love with the Tuscan Beige Leather...

Very nice, jmdor- the pinstriping is perfect!
As you know, we're anxiously awaiting our MCS as well. We also have an A.C. graphic (sunroof cover) waiting for our car... which reminds me, I gotta call an pester our MA!

Congrads!!!

Awesome lookin car-I got tuscan leather and wood dash and steering wheel- looks good together!
Although it kinda makes me sad...my MCSa should have been on that board the Figaro and auto transport with ya.

How was the delivery at Schomp? Did they throw in anything for you?
Did you use the delivery check sheet from here?

Ordered again-expect to see it mid December

Hope to see you on the road somewhere in CO

Delivery at Schomp was very good -- they don't throw in anything whatsoever. The process was very pleasant, with no hard sells on "protection plans"--- they do have them, but didn't overly push the issue. I used the checklist -- my car didn't have the door seals, and they are sending them to me. Overall, a very nice experience.

Good to hear about the door seals. I pointed this issue out to VQ when we were looking at the vehicles to be delivered that date. The rest of your comments align with my own (ordering) experiences at Schomp.

I attempted to make a change to my MCS (ordered on 10/27) and was told that they'd have to resubmit the order and that dropping to a new spot in the queue would set back my delivery date by 3 weeks. So much for those changes! One wonders if such a lengthy delay compared to resubmitting an order only 3 days later indicates that I may receive shipment prior to the Christmas holidays. One wonders... and one hopes!

If you can't make any changes, then you are scheduled for production, which means you got a much earlier production week than I did, comparatively. Hope for a pre-christmas delivery! 800-ASK-MINI should be able to give you a production week with your production order number.

So what is this checksheet y'all are talking about? Sounds like something I'll need shortly.

Great looking car. Did you black out the grill yourself? or am I only seeing a shadow?

I went through the automated phone system and they said estimated completion was Nov 3, 2007. Woot!!

Thanks for the tip!

pigwidgin -- do a search for "pre-delivery checklist" and you'll find it online.

Rockridge -- grill is just a shadow.
