I bought my 2004 Mini Cooper S a month ago and I love her!
Sparky is Chili Red with White Bonnet Stripes.
We went on our first Ralley at the beginning of October and it was a blast!
I am sure there will be many more in our future!
I am looking for a club to join in Southern Cali, if anyone knows of any.

Hey I live in Oceanside near arrowood! I belong to SCMM (clubscmm.com southern california mini maniacs.) and sometimes catch up with the other two clubs here (West Coast Mini and San Diego Mini) but spend most of my time with SCMM.

I too have an 04 cooper s that has some "mods". I know the car very well if you need any help and I have a garage full of detailing equipment. Once you are on SCMM check out for Andy's posts about activities here in San Diego. Look forward to meeting you!

Did you get to take any of you and the others on your first Rally?

Is your CR with white strips a CR/W, CR/B or CR/R?

Hook up with the folks around your area, you will have a blast as they are a fun MINI group. We met a few at MITM2 this past August.

To recognize my Mini, I have a round sticker in the back window "Brecht Mini 104" from the Ralley.
Maybe we will pass each other.

mbotvinick......... I get on the freeway at the 76 right off the 101. Don't go that far up to College. I get off the freeway at the 76 exit in the evening and go left at the light. Maybe we will see one another soon.

Hey, quick question: My MINI has a reunion with a shipmate she came through the canal with who is coming out from AZ! Can you recommend any cheap, local, easy for 2 strangers to find with a nice, MINI- friendly parking lot? I know where the El Torito is, but that's a bit pricey for now!

If you wanted to join us and meet 2 new MINI's that would be great!

OK...For those of you who were asking and anyone who would like to see my baby. We rescued her on September 17, 2007 from a Lexus Dealer
She is my pride and joy and I absolutely love her!

I wasn't too clear, was I? I'm meeting a NAM friend for the first time Friday. He and his wife are from Arizona, and I'm from Trabuco Canyon. I'm just looking for a cheap place to eat that has a well-lit parking lot and would be easy for people who aren't familiar with the area to find! Like right off the freeway or PCH

I COULD always do a Google search, but hey! If you know of a cool place, that would be great!

Cafe 101 is great car meeting place. It is in Oceanside. We have done events there. http://www.101cafe.net/

Just watch the driveways if your car is lowered at all. Good cheap food.

 

A little about West Coast MINIs:

- We have about 150 "members," though the core group is around 30, and I'd say about 60 attend things and communicate on a fairly regular basis. We all have "new" (BMW) MINIs.

- We are family-friendly and as diverse as our MINIs. We have lots of MINI chicks, and several multi-MINI families.

- We love to just relax and have fun with our friends and MINIs, always keeping in mind that safety and respect for people and property guide our decisions. We do both motoring and social events.

I have no idea how to describe SCMM.

San Diego MINIs is mostly classic Minis.
