Today's the day to find out what's up.

Yesterday they did disassociate my VIN from the bad Hudson Leader booking number (there's no booking number with my VIN at the moment), but the Boheme is currently steaming its way to Southhampton. In about four hours I would expect they'll either be leaving my car at the port (nooooooo...) or loading it aboard the RO/RO.

So far no tracking info yet... Got to the port on 9/6 so I think I missed the Boheme. Next ship is 9/20

The Boheme still hasn't made port, so there's reason to remain optimistic! My VIN is also still showing no Booking number...

Sadly the Bohem left the port the countryman leave out of, Bremerhaven Germany. Maybe their tracking is slow ;-)

Hopefully that's it! I know it's been goofy for my car this last week.

New status: Loaded on Vessel. The Boheme is now scheduled to hit Port Hueneme on 10/4. Should see my car at the dealership in the last week of October.

The boat docks in a few hours at Port Hueneme. I've spent the interim time figuring out how I'm spending delivery day.

Mine is a few days behind yours. My boat docks in California on Thursday. Your route home looks like fun. Been that way a few times!

Sad news, today is my MA's last day on the job. I sort of sensed that she was moving on (though maybe that was just because we were in a logical low-communication period), but it's a bit disconcerting and certainly a bummer that she won't help me get this process over the goal line.

Holy cow! Movement in the Owner's Lounge. My car is at the VDC! Only took 2½ weeks once it got off the boat...

Wow! That's quite a delay! Total bummer for you. Even though my Countryman was built around the same time it was about 6 days behind yours during shipping, it will be ready for pickup tomorrow. I can't wait! Looking forward to seeing you get yours asap so you can enjoy that great route home!

As of 10/24 my MA was hopeful I could take ownership "by the end of the month." That was our last communication. I'm guessing he was vague on the particular month for a good reason. :D

Well here's some interesting news... My car has (much like many folks who've ordered cars) shown up on my dealer's website for the past 10 days.

Today when I checked the site (you know, to see if they sold my car without actually telling me about it...) I found out that they're offering a $750 discount!

It's almost like they're doing my negotiating for me.

Heard from my MA this evening. The car has been taken to their tint-house for some of the customizations I wanted done prior to picking it up. They've missed availability estimates before, but its sounding like this is the week to take delivery.

I have an appointment to pick up the car this Saturday morning. I told the MA he needs to send me some photos if I need to wait a few more days.

22 miles on the Odometer when I picked her up, 105 now that she's in the garage.

Here's the Sneetchmobile I and Sneetchmobile II, side by side at the dealership, and a capture of the odometer.

Folks at the dealership (Mini of Loveland) really came through for me in the end. Really a fantastic experience working with their lady in finance. I put her through quite a bit when it came time to figuring out my options and she came through with flying colors. Really tied a nice bow on the experience.

Tint on the new car is 28% all around (not on the sunroof or front windshield). Stripe came from OutMotoring (offset racing stripe). I've got $1000 in wheels (15") and non-RFT winter tires coming from Tire Rack. I've got a Seat Belt Warning Chime Stopper (that's a mouthful) coming from OutMotoring. I've got some Tire Totes coming from ECS Tuning (for keeping the current sneaks ready for the spring). I've got the Burger B48 Stage I Beta tune (hope it works great on the B46).

And I've got a week-long work trip which sees me in California until next weekend. I expect all that stuff to arrive while I'm out of town, so it may be a fun weekend of doing car stuff.

These are very handing for moving your wheels with the handles built in and they say MINI.

Thanks for the purchase.

Glad to support a vendor which supports NAM. As you can tell from my post, I like to share the love amongst the various vendors.
