I ordered my MCS on September 17th from Patrick in Schaumburg, Il. The car (no name yet) is scheduled to land in South Carolina on the October 26th (according to my MA). The car should be in my hands late next week if all goes well. It seems like forever but is on schedule with the 6-8 weeks promised. This is my first mini. Trading in a 325i. Previous car to the BMW was a Subaru WRX. I am hoping the MCS is as much fun as the WRX with the fit and finish closer to the 325i. This forum has been a big help in understanding the whole production process and the mini culture. Can't wait to post some pictures.

 

Welcome to NAM . Looking at your sig. it should be a nice car . Whats the HP rating with that JCW kit?

 

The horsepower increase is reported to be around 18 (from 172 to 190) or about 10%. The increase in torque gets you to almost 200 according to my MA. I could tell the difference test driving an MCS with and another without the kit but it was not that dramatic. The sound from the JCW is also pretty sweet and was a factor as well.
