Greetings, fellow MINI owners!

Hello everyone! I've written a few posts, but never "properly" introduced myself to the community...
Well, okay, I'm not a Mini owner *yet* -but the boat docks in a coupla days!
Man, I can't wait!! We're supposed to take delivery around Nov 1st.

Although technically the car will be my wife's, it will really be "our" main commuter and all-around regular runabout (and hopefully AutoX car...)
Let's see, I don't recall all the proper MC-speak, but the car is Dark Silver with white roof/mirrors. 6-spd, Sport suspension, Sport pkg w/ DSC and 17" Crown wheels, LSD, Premium pkg, Convenience pkg (my wife really like the keyless entry thing. Seemed frivolous to me, but hey- it's her car, right? ). Redwood Leather Lounge (whoo- $$pendy option!), Sunroof, Driving Lamps (aka "rally lights"!), iPod adaptor... I that's about it.
Pretty loaded -BMW/Mini really knows how to pile on the options!

We're really looking forward to it. We actually rented an '05 a coupla months back to "test it" and see if it would really work as our daily driver -mainly to see if our 2 dogs (Cardigan Welsh Corgis -that's what my screen name means, btw; Welsh Gaelic for "Corgis") would work well it. Since we're coming from a 4-door Legacy GT, we weren't sure if squeezing them into a coupe would work that great. It might be a little inconvenient, but they seemed fine with it, thank goodness. (LOVEd the LGT btw, but it's gas mileage is appalling and residual value much worse than Imprezas, let alone Minis)

Wow- heckuva novel I wrote there... anyway, hello everyone!

Hi, and welcome.

My lab loves to ride in the back of our MINIs. Only, she sheds and drools, so I usually try to take her in my wife's car!

Welcome Russ, it is good to see another MINI owner buying his/her MINI for the pups.

That is an impressive list of options. You have to love the DS/W combo on the MINI. I do!

When you get the MINI in November, post a few pictures and candids of the Corgis enjoying the ride.

Cool- thanks, guys.
I've been meaning to do this whole "intro" thing for awhile now, but never seem to find time -but I'm off work today, whooHOO!

BSUCardinalfan -that's why our "boys" usually rode in my wife's Legacy- leather seats are easier to clean all the fur, drool and mud off of! (BTW,"perforated" leather? Not so good -all the dog fur "plants" itself in the little holes! ).
Love the Labs (who doesn't?) -our Cardi's two best friends are both black Labs...

Don- I will take pics as soon as I can. (I suspect the tough part will be learning how to post them, heh!). DS/W?!? Nice! Seems like I usually see the black roof/mirrors w/ the Dk Silver, which also looks good. One reason we did the white was to keep the interior cooler for the "kids"...
Ah, the things we do for our dogs...

Thanks, Jason -wow, nothing BUT DS owners so far?
Cool! Odd... but cool...
LOVE that silver-toned Union Jack on your car- Cooper Flags?
I was trying to convince my wife that a silver-toned Welsh whole roof flag would look killer, but she wanted some color to "liven" up the Dk Silver... (?? Hello- full roof flag?? ) Or mebbe checkerboard roof, stripes...
