"Bump" is a way of moving a post back to the top of a list. Used to get notice for a post that has languished down in the pack.

Hi and welcome! People post "bump" when they don't have anything new to say, but they want to keep a thread on the front page. For example, they've asked a question and they're hoping someone will see it and post an answer.
