Hello Everyone

Just thought would introduce myself.

I bought an 07 Mini CSm chilli red, chill red pack, premium, sports, weather, DSC, LSD, white roof and mirrors, 17 inch alloy web spoke with run flat, ipod adapter (Dealer installed)

So far have had mixed feelings although its a real hoot to drive. Only 2 problems in about 900 miles in past 2 months.. and very minor ones at that..
1) a rattle from sunroof controls - fixed quite superbly by the service engineer
2) a the rubber lining on rear windshield on the outside came off on the center and dealer is supposed to replace it.

Hope don't see any more problems. .. its fun to drive

Welcome.

What else leads to your "Mixed Feelings". Is there some more generic dislikes you have with the car? (Trunk too small, Rear View mirror too large)

Welcome to NAM! Hopefully those are the last of your MINI problems for a long, long time.

the reason

The mixed feelings stems from the fact that like lot of early 07 builds mine didnt come with "secret" storage in the dash. It was bolted shut. While installing IPod adapter the installed the "Recall" (as they call it) and put the compartment in. However, this has left a small gap between the storage and the chilli red liner . Its not as big as I make out to be but i would rather not have that. The service engineer did try hard but the sad part is the red liner is curved. So unless it is factory installed, it will have this gap.

Not a biggie again. But coming from honda civic which had absolutely no issues till i traded it in, it didn't start on right note.

Hence, the mixed feelings. But as I said, the drive just blows. I love it.

Thanks for the welcome donna/mike and batgirlwildcat

Welcome to NAM and it sounds like you have a fine MINI. Pictures please unless I missed them. I would like to see the gap you speak of, can you take a picture?

Overall, sounds like a couple of small issues which are going to be fixed or are fixed.

Enjoy your MINI and the wonderful drive. MINs are a hoot.
