New Mini Owner, Stupid belt question.
New Mini Owner, Stupid belt question.
Hello,
New to the Mini world, so I thought I woud first say hello. Have a 2003 S and so far love it. Had to replace the front lower control arm bushings but otherwise maintenance only.
Here is the issue. I am not sure if I have the correct replacment drive belt. I have a Moss 101-217. I a pretture sure the Supercharger pully is stock. When I put the belt on, it was looser than the old belt I removed. I could tell this by the location of the tensioner by the location of the holes in the tab that you use to hold the tensioner while you replace the belt. The tab has 2 holes. Before I started the replacment, one was showing. After the replacment, none are showing. I started the cooper and it ran ok and the belt didn't seem to slip or squeel.
Do I have the correct belt?? Should I worry about the tensioner tab location?
