Tire Service Plans?
Tire Service Plans?
My Mini arrived at the distribution center on Fri and should he ready for me to pick up on Sat. The Princeton Mini dealer has a tire service plan (Millenium Tire Plan) for $2k that covers tires a new set ot tires every 35k miles, road hazard warranty, windshield replacement, towing, balance/rotation, alignments, battery repl, bulb and headlight repl, wipers for the life of the vehicle even after manufacturer warranty expiration. Good deal, too good to be true, or is there a better deal elsewhere?
I bought mine at Princeton as well. I got the same plan. Edmunds.com and consumer reports both say the same thing about warranties and such. It depends on how long you plan to own it. If you trade every two yrs probably won't pay. But I figure I'll have mine for quite a while at least 100k. thats at least 3 new sets of runflats. or nearly 1k every 35000 miles. I come out ahead. also if you crack a windshield replaces it. And I dont have to worry with insurance deductables and such. Hope this helps... Who was your salesman? or Motoring Advisor? I looked a three dealerships before I bought at Princeton

Thanks, that kind of helps me make my decision. Looks like I'll pick that baby up. My sales guy is Dan Pizzi, and that's pretty much what he told me. He was really an "ordering assistant" since I just handed him a printout from the configurator with all packages added for the non-S 2007 Cooper and said "this is what I want". He went as far as throwing some of the lower cost extras in for free, which was nice since I wasn't expecting that.
