Basic Radio Questions for 2007 Mini

I have a new Mini Cooper with the base radio.
It has pre-set station selection buttons for FM1, FM2, FMA, AM, and AMA.
What are the FMA and AMA?

Also, how do you set the pre-set station selection buttons?

I know this is pretty basic stuff, but I haven't been able to find the answer.

Thanks

From the Radio Manual:

-select memory area FM1, FM2....
-Tune to station
-Press and Hold Memory button you want that station to be on.
Done

Knowing is half the Battle

Also Welcome to NAM.

What color is your MINI?

in my '04, the 'A' of FMA and AMA stands for automatic , where it will automatically select the 6 strongest stations on the dial (band) in the area , so if you drive to a distant location, or even on the way, you select the FMA and voila, you have some stations to listen to......as to how to set it to that, on my '04 you hit the FM button until it says FMA then you hold down the FMA either for a few seconds until it starts to set itself or maybe until it finishes setting itself...I use it rarely but when I have needed to use it, it is pretty easy to figure out...useful feature...maybe the '07 does it the same way? my car came with a separate manual for the radio....did yours?

Grateful thanks

Thanks to both of you.
Our car is mellow yellow with the white top.
It came with a brochure that described all the radio options, but did not contain directions for either of these points.
