I am pleased to announce the birth of Blu Pup, formally known as Canis Blu, on September 10, 2007 at the MINI facility in the Cowley suburb of Oxford, United Kingdom.

Blu Pup is an R56, MINI Cooper S in Lightning Blue with while bonnet stripes and roof, automatic transmission, premium package, sport package, sport suspension, HI-FI sound system, and Pacific Blue color line with cloth and leather seats. At birth Blu Pup was 146.2 inches long (371.3 cm) and weighed 2668 pounds (1210 kg). Blu Pup was part of the production week 37 litter, but the size of the litter and Blu Pup's position in it are not known.

Blu Pup is currently heading to the Americas aboard the ship Courage, where the formal adoption is expected to take place in Fort Lauderdale Florida sometime around the middle of October. After a stay in south Florida, Blu Pup will be calling Jacksonville Florida home.
