She has left port and has returned to the Cristobal anchorage area, all things being normal, she should stay anchored there till early morning.
She could head back in past the breakwaters and anchor there for a time before getting in line for the Gatun lock. So this is just a wait, check, and see what happens.
For any one that may have not found the web page, the link is below. At the present time all four cams are online. At times some of the cams are not working, usually the expansion cam and Centennial bridge cams will have the most problems. Also as canal traffic direction changes directions (north/south or south/north) the cams will also change the direction of view.
The cams are under the "Multimedia" tab on the web page, also there you can find 'how it works' which shows an animation of how the locks actually work. I should be around at the time Maersk Wave treks thru the canal and will post when she should be at the three differant locks.
Tharkun, thanks for a great, textbook post. Well done and will be appreciated by all...
Hope all enjoy the pics, and that bird seems to live on that pole. After having a lot of members ask what he/she is, I just found out on google that it seems to be a orange-breasted falcon. If any one can confirm it please post.
Thanks for all the pictures Tharkun. I've seen the bird before while waiting for Maersk Wave, but no Maersk Wave. Now all we need is a web cam inthe VDC!
