I bought my first Harley back in 96 and I am on my third HD and still ride a lot - sold my PU and ordered my Mini on 8/31..... This "cult" as you call it - is very simular to riding a Harley - No matter where you go, people will look and talk to you and if you park next to another Mini - you have an instant friend - So, kick back and enjoy..... Your 60, I am 57 - We Aslo belong to another club (we can buy our meals from the back cover of the Denny's menu, LOL)
HARLEY: I was unaware of my exalted status at Dennys; thanks for the info.
Sorry, the R 53, R 56 etc.
The "R" in your name is probably interesting as well.
Ohhhhhhhhhh THAT R !
Yeah, that can be confusing for Newbs. It took me 8 months to memorize those. Now I'm going to try to remember all the colors and for which models they were/are available.
You should visit the NAM compound once a year (for MOTD) in early May to maintain your faith in the Mini, chariot of the twisties. Then to show your true dedication to Mini-ism, journey to Copper Mountain, Colorado (for MITM) mid August. If your faith in TS (twisty superiority) becomes weak after the winter months, drive thy Mini to Vegas.
For the utmost in your Mini spiritual journey, you can come to Colorado & join our sub-cult, mini5280.org, & thereby becoming one of the Mini Elect, aka: The Chosen Few of John Cooper (CFJC). Where mountain driving up hill in every direction on twisty roads seperates the CFJC from CORN (Cooper Owners of Rural Nebraska, aka: Flatlanders) that drive flat straight roads w/variety of width through farms & feed-lots.
