New MINI Owner/Warranty Question

I just got my 06 Mini Cooper S on June, 30 2007. I LOVE IT!!! This is my first import. I have always owned Jeep Wrangles. I am enjoying the quickness and awesome handling.

I only have one question so far...How do I go about getting the warranty transferred into my name. I think there are some sort of mail in cards in the owners manual...are they the warranty transfer cards? Also do I need to contact the Roadside Assistants people to give them my info?

This forum has been very helpful...I have learned about my Mini.

Don't know, but a phone call will probably answer all your questions.

Congrats and welcome!

First, welcome to NAM and congratulations on picking up a Mini.

I would suggest you call Mini's customer service line, at 866-275-6464, commonly known as 866 Ask-Mini. They should be able to help you. You'll probably want to have your VIN handy when you call.

You should also go to the Mini owner's lounge and sign up. There's information there you should find useful, as well. It's located at:

Thanks to ALL

I got the warranty transferred. I also found out when you transfer the warranty, the updated info you provided will be passed onto Roadside Assistants. Very nice!!!

The warranty and Roadside Assistants follow the car not the owner's name. The updated info you provide is just a way for Mini to contact you.

Note: Mini customer service number is 866-ASK-MINI.

Glad that worked out for you. And that the warranty still covers a subsequent owner and not just the original buyer.

Glad you found them, even if I gave you the wrong phone number. And, to think, I have it programmed into my phone.
