new '06 in 2007!
Hi everyone. Spent 3 years in Germany in the early 90's with a friend who had a true classic mini cooper. So began my love affair with this little car. After months (years really) of waiting, I went to the dealer today to order my new mini. I was all set--2007 sparkling silver cooper S...been planning for months for this day. So what happens?
I pull into the lot and out of a sea of colorful mini's, I spot him--this little space blue w/silver top. Forgetting exactly what I was doing or why I was there, I walk over just knowing I was heading toward the used lot, but turns out my little space blue was brand new!!! It was love at first site. Right there on the spot. After months of going back and forth on what color and features I wanted...all it took was two seconds to see this little cooper and it was done!
Long story short, the classic lines of that little space blue warmed my heart! Prem pkg with a few upgrades and at a great steal. Didn't say a word except here is my deposit, will be back on Saturday to pick him up, where do I sign!?!
I have to admit I have never felt this affinity over a car, but here I am.

Agreed, this was meant to be!!! SB/S is an amazing combo...you are very lucky!!!

Thanks for the welcome...been lurking around for a few months on the board.
And yes, I think it was fate or perhaps the heat. Took one look at him and it was like "oh there is Cosmo, where ya been old buddy". (slaps myself back into reality now). So my SB/S is going to be named Cosmos. We are signing the papers on 7/7/07, and having our first road trip July 13th...thankfully it's not a friday. Will post some pics when we get back.

I too went into the dealership with order spec in hand. I saw her from across the showroom. She sat under the sparkly lights. She had every option I wanted, and then some. That's all it took. I know exactly how fast you can fall in love.
