Thinking about a buy? 1st post

Has anyone tried to ride their large dog in a Mini? I have a 120lb Rott that needs to ride with me, so I must to make sure he fits?
Thanks

Would probably be easier to ride the MINI on your dog!

Load him up and off to the Mini dealer for a personal confirmation.

If you fold down the rear seats, you can fit a lot in the back. Wouldn't be hard for the dog to hop in from the back. http://www.cocomats.com makes some great floormats. They also make a cargo area mat. I would think they could do a mat that would cover the floor and folded down seats in the back, and have a surface with good traction so the dog wouldn't slosh around too.

^^ is the best suggestion, seats down and enter through the boot. You can get a protector for the painted top side of the bumper, as I'd imagine 120 lb rotty claws could do some damage!
So my vote is you're fine!

OEM...pic is from my dealer site (though the link doesn't look like it!)
I notice that this says it's for 2003-2006, but my advice to find something similar still stands

I have 2 80 1b dogs that ride together in the back seat of my convertible
wearing their doggles. You can see a picture of 2 dogs in my cabrio in my gallery (picture 1). If my math is right, that picture shows
1 80lb chow mix + 1 40 1b beagle mix = 1 120 1b Rottie.

Also, check out the wet okole seat covers in the back seat. Great for muddy dogs. If you choose the coupe, as others have pointed out, no problem putting down the back seat and then there's lots of room.

IMAGOX has a HUGE mastiff/St Bernard mix that rides in his Cabrio just fine. Looks like he's riding ON it actually. Goggles are always good....don't want road debris in doggie eyes.

The "doggles" are too cute! Makes me want a cabrio just so Percy (beagle) can get a pair!
