Hi everyone, figured I'd at least say hello before jumping into the deep end of the forum I went out last weekend to test drive several cars, because I'm looking for a new daily driver. I must say that the mini was definitely the car I had the most fun in of all that I test drove. Was a lot more peppy than I had expected it to be. Not nearly as fast as my vr-4 used to be (or will be) but definitely fun to scoot around town in. I hope to learn more about these cars as time goes on. Just have a quick question, how reliable are these cars? I know that any car that's taken care of will last a long time, but are there any issues/weak points that I should be aware of? Thanks for any info and I hope to have my MCS sooner than later :D

Depends on what year you're talking about. The R53's pretty much had all the kinks ironed out by the 2005-06 years. The 2007 is an all new car, new engine, induction, chassis, etc.

My reliability has been very good, and no complaints.

 

Sounds good, I just hope the mod-bug doesn't get me with this car lol.

 

With my 2005 I've only had problems with the top and the arm rest. All warrenty covered with a smile.
