Mellow Yellow - excellent! I always loved those great '70's vette etc yellow cars! My first Fiat was yellow. The LY was too wimpy for me (sorry to you all LY owners!). I don't know the secret handshake. I purchased mine pre-owned! Maybe you'll share it with me when you learn it. Congratulations, and, as it has been said before - welcome to the cult! Now, time for your car matching credit card and some koolaide.

 

Thanks Twisty (aka Tancho). My first Mustang was Zinc Yellow, which is the exact same color as Liquid Yellow. A nice color for sure, just not as deep or rich as Mellow Yellow, IMHO. The wait is killing me....

 

I just got a call from my MA, and he says that the Mini is in NJ and they should have it in by Wed, I should be able to pick it up by Sat at the latest!!!!! I'm going to be motoring by this weekend!!!!

Belive me, nobody is more bonkers right now than I! Problem is, unless I can pick it up tonight, the schedules don't jive again until Saturday. I've waited this long, and if I have to, I guess a few more days won't kill me....much.

Gotta start thinking about names....I'm a firm believer in not naming a car until you've met and gone for a drive. A car's personality should come right out and tell you what his/her name should be.

 

Yep. I had a short list of names picked out, and most of them went right out the window after the drive home.

 

I've already got it planned out, the very first song I'm going to play in the Mini is Asia's "Heat of the moment".

 

Just went on a small cruise in the Escort over lunch ("Dead car drivin' the green mile!" ), and don't you know it, an '07 Silver/Black MC pulls up behind me. Ugh. About 24 more hours to go. Each second feels like it is taking an hour!!!

 

Of course you realise that yor Mini won't be ready fo pick-up until five minutes before the dealership closes!

Its the countdown. If it were me, I would be there before anyone else, my face prints in the glass on every window there. They's have to use floor-dry to get rid of the drool I would leave behind!<-me with my face on the windows!
