I ordered my MINI on May 5th and it's FINALLY in production this week.

I noticed the OL confirmed I was In Production, and a VIN number was listed.

Does a VIN number mean the car is built???

...And what do these "Neutral, 1st Gear, 2nd Gear, etc" titles under our name mean?

First, the Owner's Lounge "Where's my MINI" page is slow to update. The VIN assignment doesn't mean the car is built. They are tied to the production process very early, not a clear indicator.
Call ASK MINI and talk to a live person. They have better info quicker.
There is a thread "How to Track your MINI" near the top of the 1st Gear section. There are some good tips in there.
The "gears" ratings are based on number of post or replies made by the poster. Just a way to identify newbies, regulars, and chatterboxes ( ).

We ordered the same day as you. Should be picking ours up in 10-14 days. WooHoo!
