Hi to new friends!
First time MINI owner here ... ordered May 6 and it's due for delivery to my dealer on June7! *crosses fingers* I'm too anxious! I know I will love it when I get it, I just can't help but second guess myself lol.:impatient
Anyhow just wanted to say hi to everyone ... see you all around the boards!

I ordered mine a day sooner. Why dont I have a delivery date? Our little zipper was finished last week and is sitting on a dock in England waiting for the next blue moon or something. I think they forgot it in a corner or something!

What did I order? 2007 MC cabrio, Lightning Blue with Black top, Chrome Line Exterior, Black Bonnet Stripes, Premium Package, Grey Leatherette. I left the dash the standard color... that's my main concern, I'm wondering if I should have gone with the Anthracite instead. *shrug*
It's pretty basic, nothing too fancy. Not only is it my first Mini, but my first convertible too.
I'm coming from a Ranger pick-up truck so it's a huge and exciting change!

Just became a MINO owner.
I am old and retired, have had many cars. Wanted to relive my youth with a Triumph TR-3A but also remembered the problems. But it was small, open and fun.
Then when I put my BMW in for service I asked them for a MINI loaner instead of the usual BMW. They put me in a MCS cab for a day. I was hooked.
Knew what I wanted then, a Purple MCS cab. Brought the BMW in to get a part when I saw someone come in to trade a car in -- it was a Purple MCS cab. I had no chance.
Since I'm an LSU fan, Purple and Gold, before I would take it I had to have gold stripes. Done.
Have had it for only a week. When it is not raining I leave the other 2 cars -- 18 cyl and 882 hp -- at home and drive the MINI. Is just too much fun.
