Kalk,

I just went through the same thing you did. You are not going to get the dealer to budge on price. Call all three dealers in the area, Tate Mini Annapolis, Towson Mini, and Sterling Mini. I did the same thing, faxed each of them what I wanted, a print out of the specs from Mini USA, and all of them said the same thing. MSRP, but this one threw in this, and this one threw in that. Finally I settled on the dealership that is closest to my work.

DC area residents have at least three different places we can choose from which I'm thankful for.

Be prepared for 6-8 weeks of painful waiting. My wait is almost over, I'm scheduled to get mine next week.

Welcome, Kalk. I don't live in DC any more, but I did just buy at MSRP from Mini of Sterling. They threw in rubber floor mats. I was very happy with that experience. Enjoy (?) the wait and you're going to love the car.

Welcome Kalk! I ordered my '07 S on April 28th from BMW of Towson. Full MSRP, but because they had open production slots, it went into production on May 1st. Hopefully should have it June 5th.

Welcome!

Good luck with the stick. I used to live in DC and I'm not sure I would get a stick with all of the traffic. Fortunately, out here in rural MINILand, that's not an issue!

Welcome!!

Welcome to the club. This site has all the information you'll need to learn how to obsessively track your car from the factory to your driveway.
I actually commute to and live in D.C. during the week - Perhaps you'll see me waving at you! Attachment 20649
