It already made it to the list. Sorry Chows, no mention of RAV4's or Caymans there.

MINI got mine too but I had a decent idea of what the results were before I veven voted just by looking at that list much better modern cars out there that'll be more collectable.

As much as I love my car, I had to vote for the Lotus. Far more limited production run, and if you think Mini owners are a little crazy, you haven't seen anything compared to a flock of Loti owners.

But it was the worng Loti on the list. They were missing the pinalce cars of modern technology And the NSX isn't even in production any more.

Yes, go vote ... MINI is WAY down on the voting list.

I guess I should have bought the FJ But had no need for a true 4 x 4 a few months ago.

BTW, ther is no need to mention any P-car. They are always "collectible". Just go look up the number of entries for the auction in Scottsdale next week

It's in 4th now, behind only the Viper, Elise, and NSX.

I dont see the NSX as a collectible, and that comes from someone that has driven a few of them.

The Elise and Viper I agree with.

The BOX has been done many times and the other is a Matrix and the other is a Camry, while they have a following now, I don't expect to see that loyalty 30 years from now, certainly not to the degree the Minis carry, and even then they aren't true collectors cars but witht he exeption of a handful.

You got to remember what this list is about ... its hype for BJ auction next week ... Hagerty wants to sell Insurance (IMO).

Scion? good question, in fact I got to say, honestly, only the MINI and the Elise on that list got a chance in hell and both pretty weak. They should have put up the Exige.

Dont want to be a downer but there was an article posted on MINI2 about future potential of MINI as a collectible and from major investor types .... just too many made ... a million cars worldwide does not a collectible make.

300 Exiges ... yes

BTW, C4, that hold true for the Boxster as well ... it will never be a collectible, just too many made world wide.

BTW, to be fair, "collectible" meaning on the order of 67 427 Vettes, Hemi Cudas, Ferrari GTOs, Porsche 959, etc. Million dollar cars.

Thers is a show on cable called "appraise my car" and there are MANY collectors out there that "collect" $10K or $20K cars. Of course, they are locked out of the BJ type auctions ... I think $35K minimum ... but the cars are still collectible to those enthusiasts who want them.

It takes a huge range of stuff ... mostly very limited numbers, powerful cars for the times, etc to bring in the big money.

Well you just hit upon another league.

BJ is popular because of the Speed Channel. The real money is in the Pebble Beach auction where prices start at a Million

Lets make a new list with the same cars, only this time make it which is the most fun to drive . And you can only vote for a car you can acually get in and out of without straining something .

Unless you have actually driven some of the cars mentioned here already ... there is no way you can make a list because you have no idea how they may be.

If you have ... go for it Especially if you got a CGT or Enzo

I voted. The MINI is fourth now, but in good company behind the Viper, NSX and Lotus Elise. Those are all rarified autos, so 4th ain't that bad!!

I had to give my vote to the Elise. The MINI is just too common. I have a feeling n 30 years, a pristine Elise will fetch some $$$.

Anyone in need of "a true 4 x 4" would steer clear of the FJ anyway.

ANY Lotus will be more valuable years from now, than any Mini. Just the nature of the low production beast.

In all probability, my MGB will be more valuable than a Mini in 20 years.
