We attended MOTD in 2009, and ran across this bluegrass festival, which we are looking forward to attending again this year. It's on the north side of the national park, which would take a nice drive up the dragon, but well worth it.

If anyone wants to volunteer to be a leader, we could put together a day drive for folks to check this out.

 

I think a day drive would be a great idea, and I would be glad to lead it, but we're staying closer to Townsend and it would mean 4 trips up and down the Dragon for me. Might be better if the leader came from the area closer to Fontana. I think it's a little over an hour up to Townsend from Fontana, if memory serves. We just stumbled across it on the 2009 MOTD and it was a lot of fun.
