Backup camera wiring
I recently purchased the AUTO-VOX M6 Backup Camera and Dashcam and was wondering if anyone had experience wiring a dashcam on their F56. More specifically, I was wondering what the best way to run the wire from the camera to the front was, and what I should be looking for when accessing the wiring to the reverse light.

Firstly, I lived in Hockessin back in the '70s - thanks for bringing back a lot of fun memories.
From the diagram in the link you posted it looks like you have to deal with 3 problems ...
1. Getting a wire from inside the car through the bodywork to reach the license plate mounted camera. This reduces to making it waterproof and looking nice.
2. Running the wires from the rear of the car up to the mirror mounted control unit.
3. Making an electrical connection to the backup lights to power the whole shebang.
1 and 2 seem straight forward and depending on you abilities and cleverness should't be the hardest things to do. Searching these forums for hints should give you enough ideas.
#3 is the hard one. Again, these forums may point you to a good solution. The problem will be how to know which wire is the +12 volt wire. (the ground wire is gonna be almost any metal bodywork ). The +12 will be hard to spot because so many of the signals in the F56 are digital and not actual, useful, constant DC voltages. Are you good with a voltmeter ? Can you find a schematic of the car ? Do you want to permanently hard-wire the camera in your Mini? Most people wire in a reverse light-bulb with a fuse.
Also, keep in mind that due to our hatch-lid position, you'll have to mount the camera below the license plate.
