I was lucky enough to get mine local. Someone in our local club was selling so he could buy a race prep'd one. I wasn't going to let the chance pass by. I didn't have to worry about shipping or anything.

That's a 1980 Mini? The grill looks like a Mk1, but then again, it does have the concealed door hinges...interesting that whoever restored the car would go through the trouble of making it look older than it really was. Nice ride, btw. I can't wait to pick up my newly-bought '73 next Monday and drive it home.

Yeah, I noticed the grill too. One of the classic books talks about modifying the grill from older to newer and vice versa. I guess whoever did it liked the look of the older grill but wanted the improvements to the body made from the MK3 on.
