Thanks for the feedback! I looked at pics of your mods in your other thread, and damn, your car looks good! But it's cool how more and more people are buying this thing. Seems like at $99, it sounds like a deal!
anyways, keep on modding and posting! great job!

However, for $99, I bought it as a "Looks great & definitely wont hurt" type mod...
We keep them in stock so I put one on a blue Countryman today and took some pics to show how it fit. You can see it clears the airbox and hoses just fine.
Can't get the pics to upload to NAM, but use the link and I put some good ones at the bottom of the page. http://www.waymotorworks.com/aluminu...e-r60-r61.html
Sorry for bumping an considerably old thread, but I just installed this Megan strut bar on my CM, and it seems like a perfect fit except that it's touching a core(not sure what it is), so I am thinking if there's any negative long term effect To the engine? Any input would be great!
That is your Brake Vacuum Line. I had the same issue and realized that the outer rubber jacket of the tubing was starting to chafe as it was rubbing on the strut bar.
Very simple fix: Pick up some "FUEL-GRADE" Goodyear Rubber hose and 2 small hose clamps, and replace the plastic tube. The rubber hose is much more flexible so you can route it away from the strut bar. Plus, you can kind-of hide it away for a much cleaner look. I forget the diameter of the hose needed, so you are going to want to measure the outside diameter of the connection outlets in order to determine the required inside diameter of the hose.
GOOD LUCK! Drive Safe & Drive Often. Rubber Side Down. Over & Out.
Thanks Juan for the quick reply, and i did it in the lazy way by taping 2 layers of electrical tape over the area that was rubbing the strut bar, it seems to be working fine at this moment.
Thanks

The R56 2011+ had the same issue with that line with the JCW Factory brace hense they used the foam. With the aftermarket that additional rubber hose should protect from chaffing.
