Looking for fitment input.

I'm new to the world of MINI's, however familiar with the empire of BMW. I recently purchased a '10 Clubman S, and I'm wanting to tastefully mod it. Nothing too insane, as it is my daily driver. I'm looking in either Rotiform NUE, or BLQ. the 17x8" is the size I'm favouring. Rotiform is showing two offsets, which is 20 and 30. Now which ET would be best without spacers? I would like to lower the car as well. Not interested in coil overs, just a shock and spring set-up for the street that has a nice drop, but nothing excessive. No rub of course would be best in anyone's case, so what tire size?

All input would be greatly appreciated!

The 30 is going to be the closest to fitting. You'll have to run a smaller tire to keep from rubbing. Perhaps a 205? It still may require some minor trimming depending on how much camber you run in the rear.

What wheels and tires are you running now?

For tires are you looking for Summer tires or do you need All Season tires for some cold weather? Or do you have snow tires for winter (using OEM wheels).?

Due to your many plans it makes sense to think things through completely-

Suspension- which one exactly? Different drop with various springs will determine clearance for tire size. Fully adjustable coilers make more sense if you want more flexibility. depending on which tire size you choose you may need adjustable front camber plates or rear adjustable lower control arms to dial in more negative camber.

How bad are your roads? Lots of potholes or very smooth? If your roads are bad then going with anything less than 40 series sidewalls in an 18" tire size would be very harsh riding. The exception would be Michelin Pilot Super Sport (Max Summer tire), 205/40-18 is $172 each, fits rims 7-8" wide, has tire diameter of 24.5". 20 lbs, 300 treadwear

Alternate sizes include:
215/40-18 fits 7-8.5" rims, 24.8" tire diam. 20 lbs
245/35-18 fits 8-9.5" rims, 24.8" tire diam. 22-23 lbs

Similar sizes can be found for Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 (Ultra High Perf All Season tire)
205/40-18 $155, 21 lbs, 500 treadwear
215/40-18 $169, 22 lbs

Comparing OEM MINI 16" wheels and tires to 18x8" et 30 with 215/40-18 tires, the 18" setup will be 1mm closer to the inner suspension, and poke out 37.1mm more, The upper tread blocks of the 18" tire will stick out at least 25mm more, do you have the clearance for that? I don't think that will work with most 1" drop suspensions unless you can increase negative camber or go with a stretch tire fitment.

Well for one, I don't think 18" is a size I'd like, as I want comfort from the tires. I've decided to go for the 17x8" BLQ's. My Clubman S has the OEM Style 110's which are 17x7"with et48. with 205/45/17 all around. I do plan on swapping the tires over the BLQ's, however I've been looking for lowering springs options, and I'll most likely settle for H&R sports. Will the tires catch against the arches?

I don't think that's something we can say for sure with some internet maths. You'll either have to find someone running a similar setup (et and wheel width) or be OK with the fact that once you get the wheels it may require additional work to for them. Likely camber arms in the rear and possible camber plates up front. If I had to lean one way or the other I'd lean more towards them fitting. But I'd definitely be reading through the entire "roll call 8"+ wheel" thread before spending any money on wheels.
