SNAKE in My Wheel

There was a snake entangled in my wheel. It decided to hide there while I was parked in the street. Lucky for the snake my kid noticed before i drove off and made a mess. I like the photo of the snake looking out back at me from inside the wheel.

I set it free after it took a swipe at me - video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkKePXHVcLc

I have no idea what type of snake it was. Hopefully someone knowledgeable who views the video can let me know.

Wow...

In my neighborhood, that video would have been about 10 seconds long and would have involved the violent use of the business end of that shovel.

Which I know is not the eco-friendly approach.

But me and snakes do not get along.

But kudos for your self control, and for making a science lesson out of it for the kids.

Gopher or corn snake looks like. My kid used to bring them home all the time. Got bit by a few. Gopher snakes are kinda aggressive at times.

I would have to bet gopher snake. They are very common in our area (I live just down the road) and are great for best control. No reason to kill a snake. On the golf course a couple miles from were this snake was we see rattle snakes all the time. They like to sun on the T boxes. I had to use my driver once to move one so we could T off. No, I didn't hurt him nor would I.

Your snake "hey, I think that Cooper S has stainless lines. I'm going to check it out". Your snakes friend. "I wouldn't man. What if you get tangled in the OZ's" and he drives away"!
