Opps! That's my mistake. All i thought that your aveo is really the one i saw in the freeway but no bcuz i live in oahu. But that's cool man! So where did u get those sets from.. I'd like to get a quote. So u mean if i get those rims n tires with the specs u mentioned above right straight to my car with all stock susp. N springs with no spacers n regular nuts will just do fit n fine? Just want the poke look not much of lowered look fan here. Exactly like ur cooper before is my target.

1-800-937-4407 is Diamond Racing Wheel's phone number to order. They close around 12PM Hawaii time I think. My old rims were 15x10 4x100 6" backspaced. What year is your Mini Cooper? If you have the newer ones, then it might be different sizing.

My Mini Cooper was all stock suspension. I had bump stops installed on my Aveo so my back tires don't rub when driving over speed bumps. I recommend that for sure! If you had people sit on your back seats, So it won't rub the tires.

Well my car was a 2005 Mini Cooper Base. It looks like they both have the same front ends so it should fit the same probably. I'm just guessing. But 6" backspace is another way of the offset. If you order 5" backspace, the rim will stick out one inch more than the 6" backspace rim. Better to get it 6".

Would this setup look too silly on a mildly lowered (~.5 inch) and no other suspension mods? Coilovers are planned in the nearby future. Any input / photos are much appreciated!

I have some 16x8 et+25 on the way and I've been having trouble deciding what tires to get. Tire rack has a clearance on some Hankook Ventus Evo12s however the sizes are either 225 50 16 or 205 55 16. Anyone have any input about this "meaty" setup? My R56 is a DD and I'm not too big on the whole poke/stretch/stance scene and rather not deal with any rubbing issues. I was looking at the Hankooks due to the price but would be willing to have a change of heart if those tire sizes are a big no-no.

I went with a 16x8 due to the factors of lighter weight (vs 17") + wider wheel for grip. I read through the whole thread but didn't see anyone post photos of a 16x8 setup with a 225/50 or 205/55 tire.
I do appreciate the input and example you had posted above as it doesn't seem too extreme in regards to stretch/poke and it will definitely be impacting my consideration for tire sizes.
