Turn key, everything powers up, car won't crank: read me
After I disassembled the lower steering column cover to access the MFSW wire, I had a bit of a fight to get it back on. During this process, I must have pushed on the big plug for the ignition switch wiring and loosened it, causing it to not start. If anybody ever encounters a situation where the car powers up, but turning the key to the start position does nothing, a quick fix is to pull off the knee bolster under the steering wheel (it hinges downwards), reach inside the steering column cover and feel for the thick wire loom. While holding the key in the start position, (and foot on clutch if standard) push the wire loom towards the steering wheel until the starter engages. You may have to wiggle it to find the "sweet spot". This will get the car going until you can get it home to remove the cover (t27 screws) and fix the connector.
