Creases in driver's side window sill

The creases happened to the replacement door panel as well. I finally figured out what is happening.
When you park with the top down and the windows up and the sun strikes the top of the window at the right angle the window acts like a magnifying glass and focuses the light in a line parallel to the window. This heats up the door sill and the softened material develops a crease.
Here is a quick video of a flashlight being focused by the window.
And here is the resulting line in the door panel

Does not load up, first I have seen this on the R57 Convertible. Video does not come up.
