As many of you probably have already noticed, that's just another error on the configurator. Under the feature description, it says that the "seat and headrest are Rooster Red/Pacific Blue cloth with side supports in contrasting carbon black leather." Everything they said is opposite in reality. Unless of course, the pics are wrong... which I doubt. Quite frankly, I think these seats would look crappy as they describe them. It would be more color than necessary...

Does seem to be an error... I've never seen a picture of these as described..

Those pics are UK cars. I would not just assume US models will be those seats. I think someone here should know but if not check the interiors from the Detroit show there might be shots there -- not sure though.

I chose cloth leather since I went for a red colorline with piano black.. Looks sharp in all the pics from the test drives on MINI2.

Despite all the nervousness reguarding the R56 interior on this forum (we all pretty much universally hated it from spy pics)....it's amazing how well it turned out.

I like it at least as much as the R53 interior.

Well, the R56 interior (and the R56 itself) still has (and will continue to have) its haters.

There's some things I'd change (shrink the speedo a bit, move the radio just below it, de-playskool the A/C controls) but overall, I like it.

I've ordered the Brushed Alloy on my ride also, as seen on the photos. You can see it on the dashboardpanels and if you have the picture of the door on you're screen the little piece on the front of the blue armrest is also brushed alloy.
The ring in the door stay's standard grey plastic. I also thought and hoped the complete ring in the door would be Brushed alloy. But unfortunately it isn't.

If you see the red markers on the picture, between them, only that little piece is brushed alloy....

Cooper S LB - could you take a fairly closeup pic of the dash so I could see details of the brushed metal?

thanks!

WHAT A GREAT MINI, AGAIN!!!! It's such a nice car. 2000 km break-in-periode. Only drove 116 km yesterday, took a little longer at the dealer yesterday than I expected, but today I'm gonna drive it long, realy LONG!

I think I'm in a different timezone or so?

He're are the requested pictures!

Just like a beemer it's REAL brushed alloy!

Very nice detail!

Only drove 1 of the 10 blocks away and drove 116 km! 8 Liters for 116 km. Not bad for a brand new car!

Delivery yesterday!

The sunroof is sooo nice, only when you hit 120 km/h it starts to wissle (I think it is what you call it) very anoying. They remove this wissle at the dealer realy soon. My strutbrace and driving lights also have to be mounted on the car!

Thanks CSLB! Those are the best shot of the brushed alloy I've seen yet - and it looks great! I like it much better than than the alloy patina they used to have.

My MINI is on the boat - just left for it's voyage to California.

CSLB, awesome pics of the alloy dash! I think I may have just changed my mind from wanting Piano Black to this.

And MotorMouth, congrats on your Mini's final leg of it's journey!
