Will 245 ZR 45 - 17 tires fit?

I want to go with a wider tire on my 2012 R58 JCW. I was wondering if a 245 ZR 45 -17 will fit in my car. I have 30mm wheel spacers install so there shouldn't be a problem with clearance because of the spacers but I'd just like to hear if anyone has had any experience using this larger tire.

Thanks for your help!!! Alex

Have you lowered the vehicle or is it at stock height?

I have 215 45 17 All Weather Continentals and I have wheel flares from Aesthetic MINIs. Do you plan on going with a wide body kit? or just the fatty tire look? If you already are using spacers then the wheels will be poking out quite a bit. (if that's the look you're going for...)

Well that's a great point. I like the wide stance and don't mind if the tires stick out a little but I definitely don't want that ghetto wide stick out tire look.

I guess your advice would be to remove the spacers or just go with the stock 205 -40/17size?

I have 235 40's on my Coupe with Swift lowering springs. You'll need a 17x7.5 rim with a 42 or 45 mm offset for it to clear without rubbing though. The only way i know to fit 245's is with an 8 inch wheel, 45mm offset and 5mm spacers. It will rub on the plastic and felt liner though if your slamming it around.
