JCW AERO Packages are RIDICULOUSLY cheap right now.
Just ordered a JCW Aero Kit direct from MINI for $339 . Without PDC, with PDC it's $2,800. Colored wheel arches and sills (primed, not painted obviously) Colored arches and sills aren't my preference, but hey at this price who gives a damn. As usual the MINI website is extremely vague. If anyone has purchased directly from MINI before maybe you can answer these questions:
Do they include all hardware? (rivets, popits ect)
Does it include front and rear fog light trim/surrounds? (I think it should, my 2 cents), center trim on rear bumper?
Whats the difference between Aero I and Aero II?
Also ECS Tuning and Turner Motorsport have these, but they are on back-order. ECS includes all hardware including brake duct upgrade kit for $599. I had the opportunity to purchase one a of couple days ago, ready to ship, but didn't pull trigger. Now they're on back-order . I rolled the dice with MINI... we'll see. They could be backed up too ha ha.

It's crazy! I don't normally pay attention to body kits because 1; they're stupid expensive and 2; they're mostly for looks anyway. But these being OEM MINI and super cheap I grabbed one too. Must be because the R56 has reached the end of production...

As counter-intuitive as it sounds, the "blackband" kit is the "body color trim" kit. Not sure why they call it that ha ha. I prefer the matte black plastic trim too. But the painted trim is growing on me I guess.

Yea I'm looking at pictures of paint matched ones trying to decide if I would like it on my car. I guess I could see if they body shop would paint the trim matte black and paint the skirts and bumpers dark silver. I wonder if the matte black would look good or if it would look off...

From what I've heard, factory matte paint is very hard to care for. I say this because the matte paint the body shop would use is similar to factory matte paint. One car from the factory that comes to mind is the Hyundai Veloster and certain BMW M's. But I'd think it would look interesting...

No problem man! There may be free shipping. In my case it said shipping costs to dealer were N/A, and I wasn't charged for shipping. Who know's, once it's actually shipped they may tack that on. Just a thought. But lets say it's $200 for shipping, still a deal and a half at ~$550 . Hopefully I'm mistaken...

Wouldn't they be the same? At least the coupe. From the A-pillars forward and below the belt-line the coupe is identical to a Hardtop... so I thought. Call the dealer I guess.

The kit on sale is the JCW paint matched kit. Comes with JCW front bumer, rear bumper, and skirts. Also has fender arches and front splitter that are primed for paint, and all trim pieces needed to complete it.
It looks like the upgrade kit adds brake cooling ducts and front width extensions:

That is what I'd have thought. I don't currently even have a Coupe but been thinking of getting one and thought for that money I might go on and get the kit which would help make sure I got a Coupe in the future!!

I'm pretty sure the $300 upgrade kit gets you all the things listed on that page. Front brake cooling ducts, front width extensions, and the deflector lip, just all together for a lower price. The JCW aero kit does not include these items. Although I think if you have a 2011+ JCW kit then you may already have these parts. It is a little confusing what has what and what fits when looking at their site.
