Strange Electrical problem

Hey guys new to the site, I recently became the owner of a 2006 MCS JCW engine package. My problem is that the tachometer intermittently turns on and off sometimes when I start the car it has power or it will just stay off. Other times it will be on and jump up and down like it's losing power.

Sorry for the wall of text I'm posting from my phone.

Thanks for any input and ideas

Sounds to me like you have a short in the wiring or it's not grounded well enough. Removing it is very very simple to do. I would take it off, unplug it, look over the wiring for a kink or spliced area, if it all looks fine and nothing changed try locating the ground and making sure your ground wire is snug
