Heater core help!
Hello,
I have been fixing minor issues with my 03 MCS and noticed I was leaking coolant from the heater core feed line at the firewall so I replaced the line only to find that the aluminium line that is inside the car directly attached to the heater core is damaged.
I have new parts coming to fix everything, but in the mean time, I cant just let my car sit broken, so does anyone know what would be the best way to circumnavigate the damaged heater core? I have 2 options and I am not sure which is the best.
1- Cap the feed and return lines just before the firewall and be done with it
2- Make a "U" section of hose and connect it between the feed and return lines to simulate the flow through the heater core.
I dont want to damage the cooling system or anything, and I just dont know the best way to temporarily fix my car until I have time to replace everything.
I appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.

I think the U section of the same diameter would be the best in the short run.

Thanks and hope you can get things fixed.
