I have my display on the column like prime-drk- and use the curly cord to it from the parcel shelf - it's velcro'd on so I can pull it off and toss it on the shelf. I also have the remote audio mounted in the top of the right side of the parcel shelf. I'm working on a black felt "stealth" cover for the V1 headunit (with cutouts for the windows)...

batrugger, Where did you get the VW MKV antenna? Your local VW dealer? If you don't mind, how much did you pay for it?
I am thinking to get a WHITE shark-fin type antenna from http://bimmian.com, but it might be too big for MINI.
How hard is it to replace OEM w/ this little antenna?
BTW, is your black-out taillight kinda fade over time? It's on my to-do list as well, but I am afraid those thin film won't do very well in harsh minnesota weather.
Now, the best mod for you: GO WASH YOUR CAR!

Thanks for the compliments
The antenna was ordered from http://www.tmtuning.com/vw/ shipping takes forever since they are in Germany, but you can order them from the VW dealer too. Depending on which one you get, they range from $85- because you can get them with nav and satellite radio. They are not plug and play though. You will have to splice or rig up an adapter. You will also have to order the nut to hold it on since it is not included, but the nut is the same as the MKIV antennas.
The tail lights are actually painted with night shades tint spray and then were wet sanded with a very fine grit to make them smooth
I'd wash it, but it is my wifes, so I leave that to her. I have the Jetta pictured below, but I love to work on and drive her MINI.
Black handles are the way
I have a very unique house that is a local landmark and it keeps the foot traffic away. We have actually had people knock on the door and ask if they could come in and look around

here you go, my YOU-Ification
Well I was not a fan of the chrome against the Dark Silver, I don't like the center exit exit exhuast and I prefer the 02 to 04 cooper bumpers becuse the give the car a more nostalgic look. So I removed as a few chrome pieces i thought needed to go, added some black and WHA LA a Dark Silver Cooper with a black roof.
So here are some before and after photos:

No secret, I just took the armrest off, then taped up the entire door panel minus the handles. The trick is the tape job, I very carefully "rolled" the masking tape in around the edges. You can remove that section but they are mounted by melting the "pegs" into the holes, so if you take them out, I would think it would be really hard to get them reattached without them rattling. Anyway, after all the prep work was done, I took them to the body shop with all the other pieces that I had painted. Hope this helps

It's the wifey's car, she complained about her hand getting hot/cold from the position of the vent, so Dan at GrassRoots garage fixed it for us! (Before anybody asks, it's not a photochop, I was at a light, pushed in the clutch and revved the engine while I took the shot.)

Here are some of mine: (sorry car is/was dirty)...
Red front reflectors (to keep the trim 100%)...
Custom/Home-made fog lights (using existing wires from reflectors above - cost me about $15)...
Simple paint on engine and battery box (done simply to make it more "colorful" there... Didn't help with power at all, but looks good. )...
Diamond-plate floor mats (I know these are for sale now, but when I got them - from a friend - they were custom made, and not available anywhere yet)...
Custom cowl-vents (used some "chicken wire" and got this... I'm happy with it)...
Chromed honey-comb patter front grille (modified to fit - old pic)...
Sport emblem in trunk (and also relocation of Cooper letters)...
Some of my Dad's:
Brazilian Saint sticker (got it from my little cousin in Brazil; our hometown)...
De-badged rear trunk (with "Actual Size" sticker)...
"Happy Face" valve caps...
I guess that's it, sorry for the long post...
Take care,
Leo.

I custom made these floor mats and seat backs. I cut them from a sheet of stainless steel and them used a DA grinder to grind in a swirl pattern similar to the dash and door panels. I did the trunk floor and covers for the rear seat backs and rear area access panels too. For a crowning touch I had the MINI logos plotter cut in vinyl and them applied them to the mats. The total cost was about $75 and about 10 hours labor.
