Folks, please hop on over to the EIM Event Calendar Entry (<--link) and check out all of the details for this event.
Please note that preregistration by mail is required, and that there is a nominal $15 registration fee (which goes up a bit on the 1st of August) -- thus the reason for getting this thread going early.
All of the links you need to obtain information and forms are in the calendar entry.
It would sure be cool to have lots of EIMers in the Sunday car show.
Recall that MariaChick took the awards for Best in Class and Best Wheels last year!

Hey, I just went to look at this on the link above and saw that I was enrolled in this event. Does that mean that I am to fill out a registration form or I am just going to look around? I don't remember enrolling for this event even though I was going to go anyway. So Gary are you dropping the $15 so people can gawk at S-Fax? And Is Mike going to defend his title?

The NAM calendar always lets you click the link again to dis-enroll if you want. And no, that list has absolutely nothing at all to do with the required mail-in registration to the QCBAC folks if you want to enter the sanctioned drive, dinner, or car show.

Nah, I just like to spend hours detailing it and entering it in a car show so it can be totally ignored.

Unknown...but if I were a bettin' man, I'd be putting my money on it.

Well, if you are the only one from our group entering I should enter also to give you something to compete against.

While Gozer is (in my eyes) the most beautiful of all Coopers ever, I am fearful her stripes and a couple of chips in the paint would put her out of the prize winning class. Perhaps she will be in competition shape by next year. That said, I want to try to get there to cheer on the rest of our group entered.
The Quad City British autofest dates are August 7 & 8. Technically the first weekend in August. All the QCBAC dates are the 7th and 8th. Unless they made a mistake.

I see the error of my ways now. The QCBAC website has, for the last couple of years, said that this event "...is held right around the 2nd weekend in August."
Since last November, I've been assuming that the 2nd weekend was the 14th-15th (which in reality is, in fact, the second full weekend -- so there). I didn't realize that since the 1st of the month fell on a Sunday, the organizers were going to trick me and count that as the first weekend of the month.

Yes, those Brits are kind of tricky like that! Didn't we have a little confrontation with them a couple hundred years ago or something?
(05' MINI)....I am fearful her stripes and a couple of chips in the paint would put her out of the prize winning class...Ain't nobodoy got more chips, dings, dents, scratches and @#$%^'s than my MINI guaranteed!...But I'm still considering entering.
BTW Greetings from Arkansas (no MINI ).
The HBAFD now falls on a "kid" weekend so we'll see what happens.
ABTW spotted 3 MINI's and a Clubman on the way down here.
