EIM Cassville Ferry Non-Crossing and Drive -- July 24th

Just how many MINIs can you put on a 9-car capacity river ferry?

Join us for our Cassville Ferry Crossing and Drive on Saturday, July 24th and find out!

Thanks to the planning efforts of Smokin' Jo we have a really fun day mapped out. Here are just the highlights:

- Rendezvous at the Port of Dubuque Star Brewery at 9:15 am
- Motor north on scenic Iowa C-9Y
- Cross the Mississippi River on the Cassville Ferry
- Lunch at the Potosi Brewing Company in Potosi, WI (along with the museum and art gallery)
- A bushel basket full of fun twisties in the vicinity of Potosi and Beetown
- Shops and galleries in and around Cable Car Square in Dubuque
- Dinner at 5:00 pm at the Town Clock Inn in Dubuque

**Please click on the attached PDF file below to access a detailed itinerary with times, routes, links to route maps, and links to the key establishments**

P.S. Additionally, we always like to have a headcount so feel free to click on the link in our EIM Event Calendar (<--link)

Hope you can join us!

The 1st stop on the way is the American Pickers shop in LeClaire, IA. Quick photo op in the early morning. Who knows..maybe they might be there and decide to tag along...if they're not picking anything.

I think that the Bricktown and the Blackwater Grill are closed. But it sounds like a good time. I can finally meet the peaple that I have been lurking around. Faith and I will be there.

Yeah, you're absolutely right...Smokin' Jo is deciding on an alternative establishment and once he does I'll make sure it gets advertised. 05MINI PM'ed us with a really good suggestion, so stay tuned for more info. Appreciate your keeping us honest.

It will be wonderful to see you there!

The revised 5:00 pm dinner location is the Town Clock Inn at 799 Main Street. Here's a link to the restaurant site:

Updated PDF route map with this new info is now available on Post #1.

"IF" I ever get REDMINI back from repairs... So far all the body work is done. Now waiting for a new passenger seat because the air bag sensor is throwing a fault.

Our condolences to "Leo" and his accident. Daryl, we hope all goes well getting him fixed.

Larry, we enjoy your and Pam's company so much that we'll even let you bring the Impala on the ferry with us -- if it actually ends up coming to that.
Not sure how it will do in the twisties though...

I guess the Impala would be better than bringing Pam's Dodge Caravan.

Or, would it?

Let's just hope REDMINI is back before then!

Hey all,
I just wanted an actual head count for the people enrolled in this event.
Please chime in with your # so I can give a heads up to the eateries we'll be visiting. My total is 4.
Thanks,
D.

Just one here. You know how differently Jan and I enjoy the twisties...

I suspect that more sign-ups and head counts will trickle in as we get closer to the date (some won't know if they're free until the week prior). At least we're getting close to the point of performing some innovative taxing of the ferry capacity.

Thanks for all the concern, condolences, offers of a Red MINI... REDMINI is finally home as of 4:30 PM today. It was a "tearful" reunion.

Hey peeps! Just a few more days 'til motoring fun. It's looks like we're having a good turnout. I see some new names on the sign up sheet. Looking forward to meeting the new and seeing the old.
